Clive is currently working as a Health Informatics and Imaging Informatics Consultant and Trainer.
He qualified as an electrical engineer in 1989 at the University of Johannesburg.
He started his career in the Radiology domain as a CT and MRI technician.
In 1996 he shifted his focus to Health and Imaging Informatics and deployed the first digital x-ray department, in South African, at little company of Mary hospital in Pretoria.
In 2006 Clive started his own health informatics consulting business, specializing in Imaging Informatics, and healthcare standards such as DICOM, IHE, HL7 and HL7 FHIR®.
He founded the In2pacs Academy in 2016 to provide health informatics and imaging informatics training to health system administrators and IT professionals.
He is currently president of the South African Health Informatics Association (SAHIA).
He is also current chair the Private Healthcare Information Standards Committee (PHISC) Electronic Health Records (EHR) Standards development subcommittee.
